Comments: We zijn net terug vanuit Bali en hebben ruim een week gelogeerd in Starlight. Het was GEWELDIG! Wat een lieve mensen werken er, zowel in de bediening als in de keuken en de schoonmaak. En de chauffeur niet te vergeten.Het eten was geweldig, de koks verdienen ook echt een groot compliment. De verse vis,(mahi mahi, heerlijk!) 's ochtends gevangen en speciaal voor ons klaargemaakt. De kamers/huisjes zijn ruim en schoon, heerlijk af en toe BVN op TV kijken en gratis wifi. We zullen Starlight zeker aanraden bij onze vrienden en collega's.

18-9-2011 On our arrival we felt very welcome. and had all the time to relax on the beach and enjoy our welcome drink. The bungalows (not to many to keep everything small and personal, with high quality) were absolutely the best we've had in Bali. The rooms are just an invite to sleep in. The bathroom are very clean (just spotless). You have your own garden, beside your bungalow. The restaurant is very nice with open kitchen. The meals are just enough, not to much. And good. We had many dinners right on the beach with our feet in the sand and just meters away from the ocean. After sunset there was a campfire. On the Thursdays and Saturdays they have live music (guitar, drum and tambourine). All makes the atmosphere just one to dream of. I suggest to take a dolphin or snorkelling tour from the hotel itself. The manager took us out to the best spots. The boat from the hotel is twice as fast as the rest of the local boats. and we stayed much longer then the rest. great value for your money.

Comments: We stayed our whole holiday there (17days) because we didn't wanted to change hotel, because a previous busy holiday The reason why wo decided for north bali was because there are less tourists, the reason we took a hotel in lovina, was that you don't have an isolated place where you have to eat in the hotel and agree to all prices and the reason why we took starlight were the good reviews on tripadvisor. So here our comment for Starlight:
The staff is veeery beautiful (especially the reception women) ! They are very friendly and do everything that you enjoy the stay there. When we arrived we got a delicious welcome drink and hat some fruits in our Bungalow. The bungalows have a very good size, AC, good toilet and is very clean.
The pool area is nice and they have a beautfiul garden which is very quiet. also the hotel area is pretty quiet, its just busy in the morning because of all dolphin watchers, but I never woke up because of them.
The restaurant has a very good international kitchen with good price / effort. The brakfast ist perfect, you can choose between 3 menues, included in roomrate (for example american breakfast: Freshfruitjuice, croissant or toast, ham or bacon or sausage, egg, yogurth muesli, freshfruits and tea or coffe). At the evening they have sometimes very good unplugged music (guitar) and enlight a fire.
If you just go because of the beach I think it's the wrong place, it's crowded with boats and you should where shoes because of sea urchin and other sea animals . It has two kind of beds on the beach, each for two persons, but no parasol. But as I told, the Sunbeds at the pool are perfect for relaxing.
Of course you can do there the dolphin tour, we reccomend to do the tour at eight a clock and not like all the others at six it's to crowded und you have still all the dolphins at eight.
We did some tours and booked a driver from the hotel, you pay 500'000 rupiah and you can go wherever you want.
For some people maybe it's little bit annoying that there are many selling people on the beach but you can say them that you don't want anything or can you can make some good deals for massages or dolphin watching, then its cheaper than in the hotel and you get the same! And then they don't disturb you again.
Again, best was the staff, they work very good together, everybody is nice, they have a real good team! one day they took us to a ceremony which was really great, so we gould enjoy the REAL BALI.
So, we would definetly go again, it was great time!

Comments: Heerlijk Starlight
Wij zijn onze vakantie op Bali met 2 dochters van 14 en 17 jaar begonnen bij Starlight, we hadden hier beter kunnen eindigen want alles wat erna kwam stond een beetje in de schaduw van deze heerlijke plek in Lovina. De prachtige tuin, de mooie schone ruime villas, geweldig aardig behulpzaam personeel, een fijn zwembad, het heerlijke ontbijt op het strand en niet te vergeten het lekkere eten, we hebben elke avond genoten van de heerlijke keuken, zittend op 't strand waar 's avonds na de zonsondergang muziek gemaakt wordt bij het kampvuur!
Ook onze dochters hebben zich prima vermaakt met o.a de boottocht tussen wel 100 dolfijnen, snorkelen en niet te vergeten de heerlijke massages en om de dag nieuw gelakte nagels door de dames op het strand!
Affijn alles wat eerder geschreven is, is waar en dit is een plek om nooit te vergeten en waar we zeker met veel plezier naar terug zullen gaan.
Iedereen bij Starlight, ontzettend bedankt!!

Comments: “My new Bali Home!”
The Starlight was found by accident, we planned on staying at Melka which was booked (cant begin how glad Iam about that - total animal cruelty over there) It was the most wonderful, relaxing , beautiful place and people anywhere. We were only planning on staying the night but cancelled other plans and stayed another night. I made some great friends out of the hotel staff while sitting around a fire on the beach while jaming. Giant daybeds to eat/drink/relax on, gorgoeus grounds and rooms. Alwats a friendly smile from the ever too willing to help staff. I feel sad when I think how much I miss this place. I will return every year. The little wooden boats out the front of the hotel are a must to view the stunning hills and sunsets. absolute heaven!!

Ik ben hier tien dagen geweest en kan niet anders zeggen dan dat het geweldig was. Wat een lieve mensen werken hier!!! Alles was schoon en niet te vergeten heerlijke bedden. We hebben ons echt "thuis" gevoeld en dat is een prettige ervaring!!!

Within our 1 month stay in Bali,we also wanted to spend some time in the north. We went to Lovina without any hotel reservation and looked at looots of hotels ( with quite good ratings in tripadvisor )... We did not like any!! Too big, too old, too dark... By coincidence we walked out to the beach where we met Eddy, who suggested to have a look at Starlight. And, THAT WAS IT!! That was "our" place. Small, very private, clean, beautiful garden,very well maintained, nice pool and SUPER friendly staff. We felt very comfortable and home right from the start - we stayed 1 week. The guest service in the restaurant was the best, the food "yummie" and the open kitchen sparkless.
If you are in Lovina you also have to visit HIGH 5 Rehab centre! This institution kept us speecheless. Thank you Starlight!!! Andrea and Christian

Comments: Twee en een halve week gelogeerd in Starlight
Dit betekende vertoeven in een luxe bungalow met perfecte bedden. Elke dag schone lakens en handdoeken. Een prachtige tuin met heerlijk zwembad. Een restaurant in Balinese stijl gebouwd (erg mooi!), direct aan het zwarte strand gelegen, dus een prachtige zonsondergang krijg je er gratis bij!
Twee geweldige koks: Ketut en Made en perfect personeel, die alles doen, om het naar de/je zin te maken. Tijdens het eten het geluid van de golven. Kortom: Wil je helemaal ontspannen? Dan naar Starlight! Het is daar FANTASTISCH!!
